The “jab”

This post isn’t meant to ignite debate about vaccination, and if it’s the right, or wrong thing to do.

My question is simple. If you have a preemie baby, do you vaccinate on the vaccination schedule, or do you vaccinate to the childs adjusted age?

Every person I ask tells me something different.

What do YOU think?

I didn’t know there was an option, to be honest (other than to not vaccinate at all). I’ll be curious to know what others have to say!

The fact that everyone says something different probably means there is no right answer, and you can just pick some time in between. I would have thought that the Maternal Health Nurse will have just advised a time for you to go… and at a completely uneducated guess, I would think that you would go according to the vaccination schedule as you are being exposed to the same germs just as early as a non prem baby.

Wow I didn’t even think of this as being an issue. I dont really understand the whole adjusted age thing.

I guess (uneducated as well) go by what your Child Health Nurse says.
